Server status: Down

Last week, the Immortal Shrine server was shut down to allow essential maintenance to be performed on the server. According to Mod Craddock, “We realise that this may be frustrating for some of you but if we’d left things as they were then it would have ultimately led to much greater problems in future. We will aim to have the server up and running again as soon as possible.

Jagex has stated that they are currently waiting on a patch from UltiZen, the creators of War of Legend, so they can reopen the server. For official discussion on the matter, along with communications with Mod Craddock, please visit this thread on the War of Legends forums.

Here’s a few answers for you (from WoL’s Product Managers) regarding the Immortal Shrine issues.

WHAT’S HAPPENING?: We are looking into reports of players inadvertently logging into other player’s accounts on Immortal Shrine and believe it is in the players’ best interest that we brought the server down until the issue is resolved (there is a reasonable possibility that a rollback will be required).

I realise that this is frustrating but given the situation, in your shoes I’d sooner be safe than sorry. We are working with the developers to resolve the issues on that server as soon as possible.

WHEN WILL THE SERVER COME BACK ONLINE?: Update as of 5th of August – We are working hard and are confident we will be bringing the server back online this afternoon.

ARE OUR ACCOUNTS SAFE?: Yes! There is no reason why your accounts won’t be safe as we can do a rollback if we need to (to be honest we may have to).

WILL THERE BE A ROLLBACK?: It’s a possibility but this hasn’t been decided yet.

WILL WE RECEIVE ANY COMPENSATION?: Right now we’re just focused on fixing the issues and getting the server back up and running as soon as we can. Regarding whether or not there will be any compensation, we’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

ARE YOU GOING TO PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN THE SERVER?: No! :O Quite surprised to see players jump to that conclusion. We’ve made it clear to the developers that we want the server up and running properly again as soon as possible.
