Community Update #5
Hey everyone. It’s been two months since our last Community Update, so this puts our fifth installment set of release today! If this is your first time reading a Community Update article, then allow me to introduce you to them — they are articles in which basically sum up LegendsHQ’s goals, recent accomplishments, the status of the community, and our future. Well, lets get started!
Over the last two months, we’ve seen a fair amount of positive changes. About a week after we released our fourth installment of Community Update, we launched War of Alliances, which is a regularly published newsletter highlighting several alliances through exclusive interviews, and more. To read the two current War of Alliances newsletters, please click here.
In early May, we wrapped up our first public contest, Be Your Legend (BYL). Hopefully, more LegendsHQ-hosted contests and competitions will be launched soon, so keep an eye out for them! Also, we were able to integrate our forums to a much more professional software. So far, this update has been nothing but positive and helpful!
In the middle of May, Jagex also updated their fansite support thread on the War of Legends forums, found here. They released four new categories of fansites: bronze, silver, gold, and platinum, with platinum being the highest category possible. We’re proud to say that LegendsHQ was ranked under the gold category with this update!
Nearing the end of May, our second LegendCast was released, narrated by Sam. It can be found here. I also had the opportunity to improve our alliances forums on the LegendsHQ forums, by putting in a forum-specific header, as well as updating our alliance directory. We also rearranged the layout of the LegendsHQ homepage to make it less cluttered, and easier to navigate around.
So, what does the future hold for LegendsHQ? We’re currently looking into exclusive payable membership options and features, such as exclusive content, tips, etc. This would be, of course, for those members who pay a few extra dollars/pounds for the content. There is nothing planned out yet, as we’re still brainstorming about this option. We’re also looking to hosting another competition fairly soon, so be ready for that, too!
Thanks for readying, and we hope you enjoy both LegendsHQ and War of Legends!
